When we decided recently we needed to expand so we could meet the growing demand for cabinet build and larger industrial projects, we were lucky. Rather than having to relocate – as we did the first time we needed more room – we found the perfect space right next door.
Tucked away in a former silk mill complex in the centre of Macclesfield, our factory has always been a bit of a tardis. Now, the scale of operations concealed behind our Bridge Street front door is even more of a surprise to visitors, with the pre-existing upper level factory space and lower level warehouse connecting through to the new lower level Factory Floor 2. From this large double-height unit, loading doors give direct access to the yard outside.
The new factory floor gives us an integrated production facility that means we can handle a full range of contract work with ease on the single site. There’s plenty of room for the team to work on electrical cabinet assemblies, as well as on larger industrial projects such as the food waste composters that are now one of our regular orders.
We’ve also been able to increase storage space, giving us greater capacity to handle both product build and direct order fulfilment for customers.
